Operating standard

   Freeze issues and transfers during the count window.

   Count clean storage, floors, carts, laundry, damaged goods and items in transit separately.

3. 03

   Use the same unit of measure for count, purchase and issue records.

4. 04

   Calculate total available, variance to prior count and variance to established par.

5. 05

   Investigate large losses, emergency purchases and unusual usage before ordering.

6. 06

   Approve the replenishment plan and record count participants and date.
